Begin Here · Free for everyone

A clear beginning.
A rhythm for growing.

You do not have to figure it all out at once. Reading, Scripture memory, and teaching will help you grow together. Choose how you would like to begin, and we will walk you through the next steps.

Establish Teaching — Coming in 2027

We’re preparing a series of Bible lessons to help you understand God’s Word and grow in your relationship with Him. The teaching is planned for 2027. In the meantime, you can begin reading Scripture and preparing for the journey.

Choose the path that fits you to see how to begin.

Your personal rhythm

You can follow Establish on your own. These three parts work together; the reading plan and the lessons do not have to cover the same passages each week.

01 / Read the Bible

Choose a Bible reading plan that helps you read consistently. You are welcome to use any plan. These suggestions are starting points, and no purchase is required.

Choose a pace you can sustain. The goal is not simply to finish the Bible, but to develop a lifelong habit of reading and knowing God’s Word. If you miss a day, pick up where you left off.

A thoughtful pace · Free reading plans

One chapter a day. The whole Bible.

There is no need to rush. These two options help you read steadily, one day at a time, over approximately three years.

Our one-chapter-a-day plan takes about 3 years and 3 months. Start whenever you like; simply pick up where you left off.

02 / Remember Scripture

Practice the memory passage provided with each lesson, when available. Read it aloud, reflect on its meaning, and return to it throughout your day. Don’t rush. Take the time you need to let God’s Word settle deeply into your heart. As David wrote, “Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You” (Psalm 119:11). God also encourages us to meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8).

03 / Follow the teaching

When the lessons are available, begin with the first lesson and follow the sequence at your own pace.

  1. Read the lesson’s Scripture passages and complete the “Just Enough” preparation.
  2. Work through the teaching notes and video when available.
  3. Use the discussion questions for personal reflection. Consider how the passage shapes your trust in God and your everyday life.
  4. Pray about what you are learning, and continue when you are ready.

“Just Enough” preparation is expected to take 30–60 minutes per lesson. Your broader reading and Scripture memory are separate practices.

You do not need to know it all to begin.

Start an Establish group

One of the greatest joys of studying the Bible is watching someone discover something about God that they had never seen before. A familiar passage begins to make sense. Pieces of the story start fitting together. And suddenly, the Bible they have held in their hands for years becomes something they cannot wait to open again.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to share that journey with a few people around your table?

Perhaps God is already bringing people to mind—friends, neighbors, family, or someone who has never really studied the Bible before. Ask Him to prepare their hearts, and yours. You may have no idea what He is already doing in their lives or what a simple invitation might mean.

You do not need to be an experienced Bible teacher, and you certainly do not need to have all the answers. We want to help you bring people together around God’s Word and encourage them as they learn to know Him more deeply.

The Establish Leader Guide

We’ve written a complete guide to share the heart and the approach behind Establish groups. It’s our blueprint for the journey, including choosing a Bible reading plan, practical guidance for leading, and personal encouragement for the long haul. We hope you’ll print it, read it from beginning to end, and keep it nearby as you lead.
